Since its opening in October 2024, the Emotion Kino at Monheimer Tor has been one of Monheim’s most important cultural destinations. The film lineup at Emotion Kino is diverse and carefully curated: In addition to the latest blockbusters and European productions, you’ll find regular special screenings, a selection of children’s films, and live broadcasts.
Emotion Kino opens daily 30 minutes before the start of the first screening.
Six auditoriums with soul
The six auditoriums are individually designed and offer distinct viewing experiences: The large flagship auditorium impresses with a massive curved screen, state-of-the-art CINITY technology for razor-sharp high-frame-rate images, Dolby Atmos, and dynamic D-Box seats. The cozy library-style auditorium with sofas, on the other hand, creates an intimate, living-room-like atmosphere. The smallest auditorium and Auditorium 5 are particularly well-suited for private events such as children’s birthday parties, corporate events, or exclusive screenings, as they allow for flexible group and event formats.

The All-Purpose Theater: 3D technology, a 4K laser projector, top-notch sound, comfortable recliners, and two-person sofas in the back row.

4K laser projection, Dolby 7.1 surround sound, two-seater sofas in the back row, and with 101 seats, it’s also ideal for events.

Absolutely unique and cozy: Warm light shines through the bookshelves on the wall, and there are only sofas—no chairs.
An internationally acclaimed cinematic experience
In 2025, the Emotion was named the best newly built cinema in Europe by the International Cinema Technology Association (ICTA). The award recognized the successful combination of boutique design, technical excellence, and strong local ties.
