Monheim Mitte, the center of Monheim, is becoming a modern marketplace that links retail, gastronomic, leisure, working and living opportunities in the best possible way. A lot has already been accomplished, but we still have a lot to do. The transformation is in full swing!
What is still to come
Greater quality of life for everyone! This is the slogan of the redevelopment of Monheim's city center that is currently taking place. The work aims to create a new favorite spot in the heart of the city – for everyone who lives, works or visits here. But you can’t create such a place overnight. The ambitious project will take place in two construction phases until 2024. One key milestone is the opening of the new Rathauscenter in the fall of 2022.
After that, the second construction phase and the following measures will continue.
In 2024, three modern municipal buildings will be added to the Monheimer Tor. They will be used in very different ways and will impressively shape the cityscape with their individual facades. More retail space, the modern emotion cinema on two floors, a hotel and many more parking spaces will be built here. The areas around the Monheimer Tor and the Rathauscenter will become a lively meeting place in the heart of Monheim Mitte.

You can’t get more central than this. The innovative, dynamically growing Smart City of Monheim am Rhein is an ideal business location. Modern and individually tailored retail, gastronomy and office spaces are being created right next to the bus station and the town hall. They will have convenient access to barrier-free parking spaces that are free of charge for up to 3 hours. In addition, there will be some central areas at the new Eierplatz square and in Heinestrasse.
